The most serious demand for staff is in the IT sector, and in August it undoubtedly took first place in terms of supply growth by 28% compared to July. This is the only sector in which there has been a steady increase in job ads since the beginning of 2021, and compared to August 2020 the number of proposals in it has increased by 160%.

In second place is the sector "Marketing and Advertising" with a growth of 9%, followed by "Health and Pharmacy" (8%), "Administrative and service activities" (7%), "Manufacturing" (5%) and Construction (1%).

In other sectors in August we saw a decline in ads, as it is the largest in the sector "Hotels and restaurants" -23%. They are followed by the sectors "Logistics and transport" (-6%), "Accounting, audit, finance" (-5%), "Administrative and service activities" (-4%) and "Trade and sales" (-1%).

Due to the constant growth in the IT sector, it already ranks second in share of the total number of proposals in the country with 16%, led by the standard leader - the Trade and Sales sector (21%).

The Manufacturing sector ranks third with a 15% share, while the recently ranked Hotel and Restaurant Sector ranks fourth with a 13% share.

The order for the other sectors remains the same as in July:

The share distribution by sectors remained unchanged compared to July and in August was as follows: "Logistics and transport" (9%), "Administrative and service activities" (8.8%), "Construction" (5%), "Accounting, auditing" , Finance ”(4%),“ Health and Pharmacy ”(3.3%),“ Marketing and Advertising ”(2.9%) and“ Art ”(1%).

Work from home

Slight growth is also observed in offers of work from home and / or telecommuting.

In August, they accounted for 10.9% of the total (compared to 9.6% in July).

The number of this type of offers is the largest in the "IT" sector - 67% of the ads offering remote work or from home are in this industry.

In the area of "Administrative and service activities" they are 13.3%, and in that of "Outsourcing" (customer service centers and services) - 13.1%. Only 5% of the proposals are for trade professionals.

Job offers by cities

The share of job advertisements in Sofia continues to grow, amounting to 45% of the total in August. The share distribution of the ads for the other leading regional cities is as follows: Plovdiv (10%), Varna (9%), Burgas (3.4%), Ruse (3.2%) and Stara Zagora (2.6%) .
