Promoting the balanced participation of women and men in the labor market is the focus of the next programming period, and measures will include access to early childhood education and employment opportunities for people caring for dependent family members. Promoting adaptation will include different types of training and measures to support women to participate in the labor market.

"Despite the positive data on women's participation in the labor market in Bulgaria, we still have a lot of challenges in terms of equal pay and discrimination in the workplace," said the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy and Head of the Managing Authority of the Operational Program. "Human Resources Development" Zornitsa Rusinova. According to her, the integration of the labor market and entrepreneurship among women are part of the measures to counteract early marriages in the Roma community.
