A final press conference of Idein Development Foundation was held in the conference hall of Vega Hotel, which concluded the implementation of the project "JobEase for Women", project code: 16.4.2.089, funded by INTERREG V-A Romania - Bulgaria 2014-2020.
The main objective of the project was to promote integration in the cross-border region by supporting access to the labor market for unemployed and long-term unemployed women. The foundation, established by the consulting company Idein EOOD, was a leading partner in the project and participated in it together with the Association for Sustainable Development from Slatina, Romania.
The project explored and managed to sustainably change attitudes towards one of the main territorial challenges in the field of employment in cross-border women's regional activity.
The aim was to facilitate the access of unemployed women to the labor market by improving their job skills and knowledge.
Specialists and teams in Ruse and Slatina, Romania developed a mechanism to better match job supply and demand by providing relevant labor market information, as well as providing information on career counseling and employment services that were relevant to the target group of the project.
Thus, for 18 months (08.04.2017 - 07.10.2018) the teams achieved the objectives of the Program by increasing the number of initiatives to enhance labor mobility in the CBC region and the number of participants in joint local initiatives for employment and in general, Bulgarian-Romanian training. The target groups of the program were: Unemployed women, including long-term unemployed women (persons registered as unemployed for more than 6 months).
Here are the main activities at the start of the project:
Providing assistance and information on labor market opportunities and employment incentives available to 120 women;
Assessment of training needs in accordance with the specific needs of the target group;
Organizing introductory information seminar (2 events), as well as accompanying trainings and seminars for 2 more with working groups in Ruse and Slatina, Romania;
Project management, monitoring and evaluation;
Communication, information and publicity.
What the teams in Ruse and Slatina achieved:
Provided assistance and information on labor market opportunities and available incentives for women's employment;
Joint information seminar - 120 participants (2 events);
Specialized training based on research and assessment of training needs - 2 sessions in Ruse and 2 in Slatina, with a total of 120 participants.
The financing program of the project is: INTERREG V-A Romania - Bulgaria 2014-2020 Financial estimates and budget of the project: 312,937.17 euros, of which:
- EUR 265 996.59 ERDF (representing 85%);
- EUR 40,681.84 national co-financing (representing 13%);
- EUR 6 258.74 contribution from the partners (representing 2%).
